With the start of
June came a four day dose of extreme heat as temperatures
soared close to one-hundred degrees. On the track
Stewart Elliott was also blazing as he won two stakes on
Saturday. First he guided Beau Dare to victory in The
Candy Eclair Stakes and then guided Hardacre Farm's
six-year-old, Indy Wind, to victory in The Frisk Me Now
Stakes. |

After a massive
disappointment in the Belmont Stakes IEAH Stable, Paul Pompa,
Jr., and trainer Richard Dutrow announced today that Derby and
Preakness winner Big Brown will make his next start in the
Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park. After previously
stating that the colt would be pointed to the Travers at
Saratoga, the connections reevaluated that decision and will
now send the colt to the Jersey Shore in hopes of beating the
heat and getting their three-year-old star back in the
winner's circle as he prepares for the Breeders' Cup Classic. |
