Jeb's Wild ran another half-length back in second as it was another two lengths back to BK Dodger in third position. As the field made its way through the lane Lord Abounding tried to hold off Jeb's Wild who was driving to the leader as the field neared the wire. At the wire Jeb's Wild got up by a full length to beat May Expectations, who closed well for second as it was another nose back to Lord Abounding who finished third. Jeb's Wild is a three-year-old bay colt owned by Thomas L. Croley, trained by Timothy A. Hills and was ridden by Abdiel Toribio. |

In the far turn Personal Journey took the lead and never looked back as he drew away from the field in the stretch to win by a large eighteen and three-quarter length margin. Bellwether who ran third early on finished a distant second as Royal Affirmed finished in third. Personal Journey is a five-year-old bark bay/brown horse owned by Quiet Winter Farm, trained by J. Grand Natalie Rose was another two lengths back in third position. In deep stretch, Wild Snitch took the lead, after race leader Advancing Storm broke down in the stretch, and was then ridden out under a mild hand ride for a six and three-quarter length victory. Misspent ran second a length and one-half behind and a head in front of Silent Serenade. In the stretch, Golden Made drew off to a seven and three-quarter length lead aggressively ridden to the wire. Mary's Nickle after a sluggish start closed slowly to get second as Silent Serenade was up for third. Jackson running in second as Summer Swing ran in third position. In the stretch, Dixie Two Thousand, after running a bit wide in the turn, came back to the inside for the stretch run and drew off under a hand ride and won the Friendly Lover Handicap by five lengths on the wire. H.M.S. Jackson won a duel in the stretch with Summer Swing to take the place spot as Summer Swing settled for show. Dixie Two Thousand is a four-year-old chestnut colt owned by Colonial Farm, trained by J. Willard Thompson and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.
