For Three-Year- Olds And Upward

Six Furlongs - Main Track

Sunday, August 8, 2004   Race 10

Track: Fast     Turf: Firm

Finish Wire:

Here’s Zealous ripped through early fractions of 21.93 and 44.67 leading the field by a length into the stretch before giving way to Canadian Frontier, who sat a stalking trip, advanced to the flanks of Here's Zealous nearing the quarter pole, lost some ground leaving the turn, came back in midstretch and was clear with a sixteenth to go winning the Teddy Drone Stakes by a length at the wire in a final time of 1:09.14. Wildcat Heir rated off the pace inside, eased four wide to make his bid at the quarter pole then picked up momentum late to finish well for second. Here's Zealous was hesitant to load, but was as stated quick on the lead to set the pace inside, remained clear to midstretch but yielded the final sixteenth holding for third.  Canadian Frontier is a five-year-old bay horse owned by Mrs. E. Paul Robsham, trained by Stanley M. Hough and was ridden by Eibar Coa.
