Finish Wire:

The field was off to a good start as Curious Treasures led the field through an opening quarter in 21:3.  Malvern Rose and Silver Stockings took up the chase in second and third positions.  Through the turn Curoius Treasures saved ground and opened up a  two length lead on Malvern Rose as the rest of the field failed to respond to the challenge set forth by Curious Treasure who went on to win by five lengths at the wire.  Curious Treasures is a three year old filly owned by Laurence I. Foggle, trained by Timothy A. Hills and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.

Curious Treasures wins the Candy Eclair Stakes.

Finish Wire:

The field was off to a good start as With Ability, Stormy Pick and Zonk scrimmaged for the lead through an opening quarter of 21:3.  Into the turn With Ability fell to second position as Stormy Pick was moving into the lead as Zonk continued to run third.  In the stretch stormy pick moved to the lead by a head an then a length as Zonk moved into second over the post time favorite With Ability running a weakened third.  Stormy Pick went on to win The Sorority by one a three-quarter lengths in a time of 1:10:4.  Stormy Pick  is a two year old filly owned by Raymond Dweck, trained by Ben Perkins, Jr. and was ridden by Jose C. Ferrer.

Finish Wire:

The field was off to a good start except for Sea of Tranquility who hesitated and hit the gate at the start. Red Weasel led the field through an opening quarter of 24:1 followed by Beknown to Me, Shut Up N Drive and Sea Of Tranquility who recovered from the bad start to gain forth position.  As the field moved to the half mile pole the field maintained its position except for Sea Of Tranquility who moved into third position.  Moving into the far turn Red Weasel was hanging onto a head length lead as Beknown To Me was gearing up for his best run on the outside and took the lead into the stretch and holding on to win by a neck at the wire over Sea of Tranquility.  Beknown To Me is a four year old gelding owned by Menotti Lembo, trained by Manuel Berrios and was ridden by Jose Velez, Jr.

Beknown To Me wins The Lincroft Handicap.

Finish Wire:

The field was off to a good start except for who Silver Rail who hit the gate at the start.  Cosmic Rain led the field through an opening quarter in 22:2 followed by Laurica and Little Black Book who were pressing the pace.  As the field moved down the backside Cosmic Rain maintained a head length lead over Laurica and Te Papa Crystal who had moved three wide on the backside.  The half mile was run in 49:4 as the field moved into the far turn.  Laurica had now taken the lead from Cosmic Rain who was starting to tire as Polly Jo was tracking in close contention.  As the field moved into the stretch Polly Jo took command as Dare To Cope tried to rally in second with Laurica now giving ground in third position.  Through the stretch and to the wire Polly Jo hit the finish line first two lengths in front of  Dare To Cope who ran second.  Polly Jo is a three year old filly owned by Philip S. Birsh, trained by Michael Dickinson and was ridden by Joe Bravo

Finish Wire:

The field was off to a good start as Anjiz's Prospect led the field through and opening quarter mile in 22:0, followed by Devereux and I Claudius who were vying for second position.  As the field made its way into the stretch Anjiz's Prospect was still holding on to the lead as Devereux moved alongside to challenge.  Buenos Dias was now gaining position mid pack.  At the wire, Devereux had gained the lead and the won The My Frenchman Stakes by one and one-half lengths over Anjiz's Prospect and Buenos Dias.  Devereux is a seven year old gelding owned by Yellow Star Stable, trained by Timothy H. Shea and was ridden by Joe Bravo.

Devereux wins The My Frenchman Stakes.

Finish Wire:

The field broke cleanly from the gate except for Duality who stumbled at the start and was relegated to seventh position.  TP Louie cleared the field at the break and led an opening quarter in a swift 21:2 followed closely by Shooter and Snow Ridge.  Through the far turn and into the stretch TP Louie still led the field running the half mile in a staggering 44:4 as Shooter and Snow Ridge continued to step up the pace in second and third positions.  In deep stretch TP Louie gave way to Shooter who got up to win by a neck at the wire.  Snow Ridge out kicked TP Louie to the wire to get second and TP Louie held on for third.  Shooter is a two year old colt owned by Leslie and Robert Hurley and D.J. Stable, trained by John Dowd and was ridden by Joe Bravo.

The Blue Sparkler Stakes

Five And One-Half Furlongs On The Turf         Haskell Turf Course

Finish Wire:

The field was sent off to a good start as Riley's Heat led the field through an opening quarter of 21:4.  Fancy Footwear, Sexual Harassment, Perfect Pearl and Merry Princess were all scrimmaging for second and third positions.  As the field left the turn and entered the stretch they were still chasing Riley's Heat who had opened up a one and one-half lengths lead.  At the wire Riley's Heat was trying desperately to keep the lead as a wall of horses including Elegant April, Merry Princess, Perfect Pearl and Fancy Footwear were all in contention to win the race.  At the wire a photo including all the horses previously named would have to be used to name the winner at the wire.  After the stewards looked at the photo it was determined that Elegant April was the winner by a nose at the wire over Riley's Heat who hung on for second followed by Merry Princess who managed to gain third.  Elegant April is a six year old mare owned by Daniel J. Ljoka, trained by Tim Kelly and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.
