Finish Wire:

Swissle Stick led the field through a scorching opening quarter mile in 21.85, a half-length in front of Mikethegeneral, who was chasing the leader in second as it was another half-length back to Doctor Voodoo in third. In the stretch Swissle Stick started to tire as Park Avenue Ball reached the front in upper stretch and drove clear of all rivals to win The Tyro Stakes by two and one-half lengths in a final time of 1:05.02. Doctor Voodoo responded when asked in the drive and was second best while On The Porch finished third. Park Avenue Ball is a two-year-old chestnut colt owned by Char-Mari Stable, trained by James T. Ryerson and was ridden by Dale Beckner.

Tangier Sound took the lead after the break from the two post and made every pole a winning one going gate to wire to win The Klassy Briefcase by a length at the wire in a final time of 57.38. Our Mariah ran off the pace early on before angling inside in upper stretch finishing well for second. Melody Of Colors ran third. Tangier Sound is a five-year-old bay mare owned by Conover Stable, trained by James T. Ryerson and was ridden by Julian Pimentel.

Silver Wench went to the front and led the field through the opening quarter mile in a sizzling 21.48 as Very Vegas and Smokey Glacken were a length back tracking the leader in second and third. In the turn Smokey Glacken advanced three deep and joined the leaders, raced four wide into the lane and finished gamely to prevail in The Trenton Stakes by a half-length in a final time of 57.59. Silver Wench saved ground on the turn, raced heads apart nearing the top of the lane, was in the two path into the stretch, dug in and held on gamely to the wire finishing second as absolute Nectar stumbled at the start, saved ground while well placed and finished willingly inside to get the show spot.. Smokey Glacken is a three-year-old bay filly owned by Susan and John Moore, trained by James A. Jerkens and was ridden by Joe Bravo.

After a good start Im A Dixie Girl and Elke scrimmaged through the opening three-eighths of a mile getting the opening quarter in 21.89 and then eventually the half-mile in 45.88.  In deep stretch Im A Dixie Girl ran away from Elke taking the lead drawing off by eight and one–quarter lengths to win the Colleen Stakes in a final time of 1:04.76.  Elke was no match for the winner in the drive, but remained clear for the place as Joyous Song got up for the show spot.  Im A Dixie Girl is a two-year-old dark bay/brown filly owned by William A. Carl, trained by Bruce N. Levine and was ridden by Stewart Elliott.

Frisky Spider was able to lead the field through the opening quarter mile in 24.52 and the half mile in a moderate 49.07 while maintaining a head length lead into the far turn.  Forest Grove was able to sit a stalking trip in second as Biloxi Pride and Partition took turns running in third position.  Frisky Spider led the field into the stretch before giving way to Forest Grove who edged clear late to win The Ocean Place Resort Stakes by a length and quarter in a final time of 1:36.78.  Wasabi Cat moved inside on the final turn, eased back out in midstretch and finished gamely for second as Grand Heritage ran third.  Forest Grove is a three-year-old chestnut colt owned by Marie D. and Aaron U. Jones, trained by Todd A. Pletcher and was ridden by Corey Nakatani.

Chrusciki took command after the break and battled with City Fire through the opening half-mile before Chrusciki left City Fire in the far turn and led the field into the stretch with a length lead.  Misty Sixes tracked the two leaders intently in third position as Turquoise Bead was running fourth.  In the stretch Chrusciki was under solid insistence and held onto a slowly diminishing lead holding off Misty Sixes by a neck at the wire in a final time of 1:44.03 for the victory in The Lady’s Secret Stakes.  Misty Sixes built up momentum through the final sixteenth and was gaining on the leader with every stride but was just short finishing second as Saintly Action finished evenly for third. Chrusciki is a four-year-old bay filly owned by Nancy Lee Farms, trained by A. Ferris Allen, III, and was ridden by Stewart Elliott.

Mrs. M tried to take the field wire to wire setting every fraction and had built a three-length lead passing deep stretch.  Cocktailsandreams chased the leader through the opening mile before tiring as Janeian, who ran third most of the way also gave way as the field made its way into the stretch.  Nearing the wire Where We Left Off had eased out some late and closed strongly to pass the leg weary leader earning the length victory in The Grade III Matchmaker Stakes in a final time of 1:48.80.   After setting the pace the entire way Mrs. M had to settle for second while Spin Control finished willingly for third.  Where We Left Off is a four-year-old chestnut filly owned by Moyglare Stud Farm, Ltd., trained by Christophe Clement and was ridden by CorEy Nakatani.
