Mighty Oak led the at the half-mile pole, a half length in front of Freedom’s Honor, who was tracking intently in second position.  Kaw Liga Saw pressed Freedom’s Honor a head back in third position.  Freedom’s Honor moved to the lead midway on the final turn, drew clear off the rail entering the stretch then widened under steady encouragement for a four and one-quarter length victory in a final time of 1:36.74.  Sultry Cat rated off the pace inside, eased out for the drive, was shut off altering course in midstretch then dueled through late stretch for place while Monster Jack dueled late and was outfinished for place but earned the show spot.  Freedom’s Honor is a three-year-old dark bay/brown colt owned by Freedom Acres, Inc., trained by Jamie Woodington and was ridden by Jose Velez, Jr.

Dhaffir led at the half-mile pole in 47.29 with a one-length lead over Vinemeister while Jersey Giant rated just off the leaders in third position.  Vinemeister moved to the front approaching the quarter pole, drew clear in upper stretch then held off Jersey Giant through the late stages winning The Grade III Salvator Mile. Jersey Giant finished gamely for second as Highway Prospector saved ground turning for home, eased out and gained late for the show spot.  Vinemeister is a four-year-old dark bay/brown colt owned by Travin Stables, trained by Alan S. Seewald and was ridden by Jose Velez, Jr.

 

Vinemeister wins The 56th running of The Grade III Salvator Mile.

City Fire led the field at every call showing the way to the lane drawing off while under mild hand urging in the late stages for a sixteen and one-half length victory in The Serena’s Song Stakes. Tigress Bythetail bobbled at the break to be away awkwardly, lodged a bid between foes soon after entering the far turn, chased the top one to the lane then remained clear for the place while Charleston Springs stalked early from the outside, remained a factor to the lane and tired holding on for third.  City Fire is a three-year-old bay filly owned by Michael Gill, trained by Mark Shuman and was ridden by Jose Ferrer.

Whoop’s Ah Daisy rated a clear pace off the rail getting the opening three-quarters of a mile in 1:11.16 with a full length lead over Miss Nickels who ran second a half-length in front of Flame Song in third.  Turning for home Twilights Prayer, who rated off the pace off the rail, started her drive inside entering the stretch, eased outside the pacesetter splitting horses entering the stretch then surged clear under steady handling in the final furlong. Someones Coming, unhurriedly early, came widest making her bid on the final turn than advanced steadily for place. So Excited raced unhurriedly early, saved ground through the final turn, angled out for room in midstretch, was steadied when shut off a sixteenth out and finished evenly from there for the show spot.  Twilights Prayer is a five-year-old chestnut mare owned by Matthew Sheerin, trained by Gary C. Contessa and was ridden by Joe Bravo.

Follow Me Home rated close to the pace of leader Lilias Trotter while off the rail, came through the turn in the three path, dueled to the lead in midstretch then drew clear while drifting out to score the victory in The $50,000 Trenton Stakes. Randaroo was shuffled back at the start, showed no speed outside, started her bid entering the stretch, closed while drifting in then leveled out late gaining for the place spot while Nicole's Dream chased the pace toward the outside, lost a bit of ground rounding the quarter pole and finished evenly for show.  Follow Me Home is a three-year-old dark bay/brown filly owned by Robert Braunsdorf and Robert Levine, trained by Robert L. Levine and was ridden by Julian Pimentel.

Follow Me Home, with Julian Pimentel in the irons, wins The Trenton Stakes.

Annatoga stalked the early of Rebecca’s Charm before lodging a bid outside nearing the top of the lane catching the leader nearing the sixteenth pole and drove clear for the win in The $75,000 Lady’ Secret Stakes. Rebecca’s Charm, after rating on the pace, weakened late but held the place spot while Consort Music trailed while not far back, saved ground to the lane and gained late outside for show. Annatoga is a six-year-old chestnut mare owned by Steel Your Face Stables, trained by Richard E. Dutrow, Jr., and was ridden by Julian Pimentel.
