Finish Wire:

Litany led the field through the opening three-quarters in a moderate 1:11.97 a length and one-half in front of Bells For Marlin who sat content in second biding his time for the moment to move to the lead. Roses For Ruby ran another head back in third keeping pace with the front runners. In the stretch, Litany's lead dwindled to a head as Bell For Marlin reeled in the leader and set sail for the finish line drawing off by one and one-half lengths to win The West Long Branch Stakes in a final time of 1:48:34. Once Around ran second as Weepnomoremylady finished another neck behind in third. Bells For Marlin is a three-year-old bay filly owned by Brereton C. Jones, trained by W. Elliott Walden and was ridden by Pat Day.

Finish Wire:

After a good start Suances was allowed to take the early lead and led the field through the opening three-quarters of a mile in 1:13.52 with a one length lead over seven-year-old With Anticipation rating to his outside. Dennon was content to sit another length and one-half back in third position. As the field hit the mile marker Suances continued on the lead as With Anticipation had cut the lead to a half-length gearing up for the stretch run. Denon still maintained the third spot as the field made its way through the lane. In deep stretch, With Anticipation took the lead by a head and dueled with Suances as Denon closed on the outside as the three horses hit the wire in a small group. At the wire, With Anticipation had won the United Nations Handicap, in a course record time of 2:12.81,  by a neck over Denon who just missed in second. It was another half-length back to Sarafan who got the show spot. With Anticipation is a seven-year-old gray/roan gelding owned by Augustin Stable, trained by Jonathan E. Sheppard and was ridden by Pat Day.

Sport D'Hiver took early command and led the field through the opening three-eighths of a mile as Rudirudy pressed the leader a head back in second while Joe's Son Joey sat off the hot pace another two lengths back in third position. In the stretch, Rudirudy took the lead as Sport D'Hiver gave way now in second as Joe's Son Joey was still tracking the leaders in third position. Through the stretch and to the wire Rudirudy drew off to win The John McSorley Stakes by one and one-half lengths at the wire in a time of 55.44. Joe's Son Joey closed willingly for second as Manofglory took the show spot. Rudirudy is a seven-year-old bay horse owned and trained by Gaston D. Sandoval and was ridden by Eddie King, Jr.

Platinum Tiara led through the first three-quarters of a mile in a moderate 1:11.48 some five lengths in front of Clearly A Queen who was rating in second one length in front of Noble Craft who ran third. In deep stretch, Clearly A Queen drew within a length of the leader and then nearing the wire passed Platinum Tiara and drew away by two lengths to win The Matchmaker Handicap in a time of 1:47.76. Siringas, the posttime favorite, finished second a neck in front of early pacesetter Platinum Tiara, who finished third. Clearly A Queen is a five-year-old bay mare owned by John Franks, trained by Teresa M. Pompay and was ridden by Eibar Coa.

Shah Jehan took the early lead and set the opening fractions of 23.86, 47.44 and 1:11.00 as Essayons took up the chase in second position as the field hit the far turn. Stephentown, the posttime favorite, saved ground running in third as the field made its way through the far turn. Shah Jehan continued on the lead into the stretch as Essayons could not pass the leader while Stephentown looked in trouble in third. In deep stretch, Puck, who ran in the back of the pack early on, ran down the leader and drove clear near the wire to win The Long Branch Breeders' Cup by two and one-quarter lengths at the wire. Shah Jehan, the early pacesetter, held on for second as Stephentown ran third. Puck is a three-year-old gray/roan colt owned by Classic Contenders, trained by William P. White and was ridden by Manuel Aguilar.

Sheyar Special zipped the opening half mile in a snappy 44.27, a length and one-half in front of H.M.S. Jackson as Spectacular Slew ran in third. In the stretch, Sheyar Special's lead decreased to a head while H.M.S. Jackson and Spectacular Slew were cutting into the lead as the field moved through the stretch. In deep stretch, Summer Swing, after rallying six wide as the field entered the lane, move passed the front runners nearing the wire and drew off to win the The Bernie Dowd, by two and one-half lengths, in a final time of 1:09:90. H.M.S. Jackson, who ran close to the pace the entire way earned the place spot as Spectacular Slew held on for show. Summer Swing is a five-year-old dark bay/brown horse owned by Gerald F. Sleeter, trained by Kevin G. Sleeter and was ridden by Eddie King, Jr.

Jet Love led the field through the first quarter mile in a snappy 21.92 as entry mate Down Play ran a head back in second while betting favorite Blackjack Boy ran another head back in third position. At the three-eighth marker, Down Play had taken over the lead from Jet Love, who was retreating in third, as Blackboy Jack continued on now a half-length off the leader in second. In deep stretch, Down Play was trying to hold down his half-length lead as Blackboy Jack was starting to weaken in second. Farno was now driving to the leaders as the leaders neared the wire. At the wire Farno got up after a prolonged drive to break his maiden winning the Tyro Stakes by a neck in a time of 1:05.01. Down Play, after setting the early pace, finished second while Max A Million nosed out Blackboy Jack for third. Farno is a two-year-old bay colt owned by Patricia A. Generazio, trained by Frank A. Generazio, Jr., and was ridden by Tommy Turner.

At the wire, Lunar Bounty had wired the field in a final time of 55.98 winning the Anderson Fowler stakes by three-quarters of a length over B K Dodger who ran second while Numbers Man lost the photo and finished third. Lunar Bounty is a three-year-old bay colt owned by Tom R. Durant, trained by Ronny W. Werner and was ridden by Eddie Martin, Jr.
