Finish Wire:

After a good start Big Bambu took early command and opened up a one and one-half length lead running the opening quarter in swift 21:1. Cedar Knolls was keeping pace in second as Eleven North was another head length back in third. As the field moved through the far turn Big Bambu remained loose on the lead running the half in an eye opening 43:3. Katz Me If You Can tried to keep pace in second as Cedar Knolls tried to rally in third position.  Through the stretch and to the wire Big Bambu, leading from the start, opened up to win The Regret Stakes by two and one-half lengths on the wire. Katz Me If You Can ran second as Superduper Miss got up for third.  Big Bambu is a four-year-old filly owned by Ed Marshall & John Schoonover, trained by Alan Sobol and was ridden by Mario Pino.

Finish Wire:

River Rush led the field through and opening half-mile of 23:0.  Davy Jones was content to sit three lengths off the leader in second position as Spruce Run ran third.  River Rush proceeded to run three-quarters in 1:10:0 as Spruce Run moved into second to take his run at the leader as Davy Jones ran in third position.  In the stretch Spruce Run took the lead by a head while River Rush started to weaken.  First Spear was now finding his best run.  At the wire First Spear ran down Spruce Run to win The Lamplighter Handicap by one and one-half lengths at the wire.  Spruce Run ran second while Tremmor got up for third.  First Spear is owned by Peachtree Stable, trained by Todd A. Pletcher and was ridden by Joe Bravo.

Finish Wire:

Silver Tornado led the field through unhurried opening half-mile of 47:4.  As  Marq of Beauty and The Goddess Athird ran second and third.  Platinum Tiara, the betting favorite, was off last and trailed the field at the the half-mile pole.  Silver Tornado continued to lead through three-quarters in 1:11:3 and opened up a  one and one-half length lead through the stretch.  Marq of Beauty  was trying to keep pace in second as Platinum Tiara was desperately trying to gain ground on the outside making one final move.  At the wire Silver Tornado won the Reeve Schley, Jr. Stakes by one and one-quarter lengths over Marq of Beauty, who ran second, as Platinum Tiara gained for third. Silver Tornado is a three-year-old filly owned by Harry V. Quadracci, trained by Linda Rice and was ridden by Jose C. Ferrer.

U.S. Gold was alert from the gate and took command leading the field through a dawdling opening half-mile of 51:3 followed by Sea Soul, River Image and Joey's Law.  At the three-quarter mile marker U.S. Gold led Sea Soul by a head as the two leaders were now drawing away from River Image in third position.  In deep stretch U.S. Gold was digging in to hold off Sea Soul who was breathing down his neck on the outside as the two strided for the wire some ten lengths in front of  River Image behind in third.  In a head bobbing finish to the wire U.S. Gold managed to hold off Sea Soul by a neck to win the second leg of The Malouf Auto Group Starter Series.  Sea Soul finished second as River Image held off Joey's Law for third.  U.S. Gold is six-year-old gelding owned by My Son My Son Stables and Maggie Moss, trained by  Gary C. Contessa and was ridden by C.H. Marquez, Jr.

Rudirudy quickly took command after the start and ran the opening quarter in 21:4.  Special Occasion and Riot took up the chase in second and third.  In the stretch Rudirudy opened up by two and one-half lengths and went on to win The John McSorley Stakes in a winning time of 56:2.  Special Occasion ran second as Riot finished third.  Rudirudy is a six-year-old horse owned and trained by Gaston D. Sandoval and was ridden by Eibar Coa.

After a good start I'm Sentimental led the field through an opening quarter mile in 24:0. Buying Rain ran a head back in second as Magical Madness and Mi Narrow scrimmaged for third position.  I'm Sentimental continued to lead at the half mile pole as Buying Rain continued to track the leader as Mi Narrow ran third while Rolled Stocking was starting to make his run at the leaders in fourth  position. At the three quarter mile marker Mi Narrow was now a half length from the leader, I'm Sentimental, as the field ran through the lane.  Buying Rain, who was close throughout the race, was still running third while Rolled Stocking was flattening out in fourth.  In deep stretch, Sardaukar eased out and made his drive to the finish running down the leaders and drawing off to win by two lengths at the wire. I'm Sentimental, who set the early fractions, held on for second.  Crash Course, running in the back early on, closed well for third position. Sardaukar is a five-year-old horse owned by Jayeff B. Stable, trained by Alan E. Goldberg and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.

Piazza Di Spagna broke well and led the field through and opening half mile of 46:3 as Seaside Deli,  Efficient Frontier and Silver Rail were all separated by a half length running in places second through fourth.  Approaching the three quarter marker Piazza Di Spagna's lead shrunk to one and one-half lengths as Silver Rail had moved into second gearing up to make a run at the leader.  Efficient Frontier was trying to keep pace in third as Laurica moved into fourth position.  In the stretch, Piazza Di Spagna spurted away again to lead by three, finally winning The Inside Information Stakes by two and one-half lengths on the wire.  Mumtaz finished with a flurry to get the place spot as Arty'svirginiagirl got up for the third.  Piazza Di Spagna is a five year old mare owned and trained by Rene A. Araya and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.

Max Jones broke well and led the field through an opening half-mile of 47:2.  Burning Roma was content to track the leader a half-length back in second while Thunder Blitz was content to run another half-length back in third position.  Entering the far turn Burning Roma went to the lead as Rick Wilson could no longer hold him back.  Max Jones was giving his all in second as Thunder Blitz was still some three lengths off the leader in third position, with plenty of work to do, as the field entered the stretch.  In the lane, Burning Roma held a one length lead over Thunder Blitz, who moved into second, as This Fleet Is Due found his best gear late in the race to close on the front runners.  At the wire Burning Roma held off This Fleet Is Due, who closed for second, and won the 66th running of The Long Branch Breeders' Cup Stakes.  Thunder Blitz held on for third.  Burning Roma is a three-year-old colt owned by Harold Queen, trained by Anthony W. Dutrow and was ridden by Rick Wilson.
