Finish Wire:

War's Prospect led the field at the three-eighths marker and eventually got the half-mile in 45.81.  In deep stretch, Smokume, who entered the stretch about five wide, dueled with War's Prospect in the final furlong before eventually edging clear with aggressive hand urging by jockey Shannon Uske to win the Gilded Time Stakes by a length and a quarter on the wire in a final time of 58.26.  War's Prospect held on for second after relinquishing the lead late while Frisky Spider finished willingly for third.  Smokume is a three-year-old chestnut gelding owned by Hobeau Farm, trained by Allen Jerkins and was ridden by Shannon Uske.

Finish Wire:

Something Smith led the field by two lengths at the half-mile marker in a time of 45.03.  Trueamericanspirit ran in second saving ground to the inside as Mighty Oak was looking for more run in third but starting to tire.  Entering the stretch Trueamericnaspirit eased out and reached the pacesetter leaving the furlong grounds then edged clear late to win the John J. Reilly by one and three-quarter lengths in a final time of 1:10.74.  After setting the early pace Something Smith held for the place spot as NJ Devil gained late for the show spot.  Trueamericanspirit is a four-year-old grey/roan gelding owned by Tee-N-Jay Farm, trained by Timothy A. Hills and was ridden by Eibar Coa.

Trueamericanspirit, with Eibar Coa in the irons, wins the John J. Reilly Handicap.

Wudantunoit got loose on the lead and led the field through a half-mile in 46.52, and three-quarters in 1:34.73.  Burning Roma was rated off  the pace inside in second a length and a half back to Tam's Terms in third.  Burning Roma ran close in the far turn, and drove solidly through the lane taking the lead inside the final eighth of a mile, just lasting by a head over the fast closing Remind who had to settle for second.  American Freedom finished in the show spot.  Burning Roma finished the one mile race winning the Red Bank in a final time of 1:34.73.  Burning Roma is a six-year-old bay horse owned by Harold L. Queen, trained by Heather A. Giglio and was ridden by Jesus Castanon.

Burning Roma wins The Grade III Red Bank Handicap with Jesus Castanon aboard.

The field was sent to a good start as Pretty Wild would battle with Unforgettable Max through the opening quarter in 23.13 with a head length lead.  Entering the clubhouse turn Unforgettable Max had come over on a rival at which point a rival stumbled.  Down the backside Unforgettable Max took the lead from Pretty Wild and got the half mile in 45.39 as it was another seven lengths back to the rest of the field.  Through the turn Unforgettable Max continued with his foot on the accelerator getting six furlongs in s snappy 1:09.39 as Pretty Wild was clinging to the leader a length back in second.  The leaders had now opened up nine lengths on the rest of the field.  Through the lane Unforgettable Max widened his lead slightly then maintained a safe advantage to the wire beating Pretty Wild by two and one-half lengths in a final time of 1:35.29.  Pretty Wild was second best as First Lieutenant finished third.  After the race their was a stewards inquiry and then an objection logged by Jose Velez Jr. (jockey of Vinemeister) against Jose Ferrer and his mount Unforgettable Max for the incident on the first turn which caused interference to Vinemeister.  After reviewing the video the stewards decided to disqualify Unforgettable Max and place him fifth.  Pretty Wild was declared the winner of The Frisk Me Now Stakes, First Lieutenant was moved to second as Cool N Collective was moved to third.  Pretty Wild is a four-year-old bay colt owned by Mrs. E. Paul Robsham, trained by Stanley M. Hough and was ridden by Aaron Gryder.

 

 

Unforgettable Max is dq'd and Pretty Wild is given the victory in The Frisk Me Now Stakes.

The race was delayed about fifteen minutes first because Something Ventured and Lady Linda needed to go back to the paddock after the horses arrived at the gate for saddle difficulties.  After the horses arrived back at the gate it was discovered that there was a gate malfunction and then the gate needed to be changed.  Horses were kept at the gate and the riders dismounted.  After the start Smart N Smooth led the field through the opening half mile in 48.00 garnering a half-length lead over second place runner Ladyecho as it was another half-length back to Mrs. M in third.  Through the far turn Mrs. M. ranged up to get the lead as the field entered the stretch.  Smart N Smooth was starting to tire dropping to second as Ladyecho was also starting to fade.  In the stretch Mrs. M battled with Ladyecho as the field closed in on the wire.  In the final yards High Court closed in on the leaders and took the lead and drew off by a length and one-half to win The Fort Monmouth Stakes in a final time of 1:36.10.  Delta Princess also closed well to finish second as Mrs. M was a half-length back in the show spot.  High Court is a four-year-old bay filly owned by Lael Stables, trained by Michael R. Matz and was ridden by Christopher Decarlo.

After a good start Hostility took to the lead and opened up a length on the field getting the opening quarter in a rapid 21.65.  Read Me My Rights was trying to keep pace in second as Quppy ran in third position.  Through the turn an into the stretch Hostility remained on the lead and held on well with steady insistence to earn a hard fought three-quarter length victory in The Thomas J. Malley Stakes in a final time of 56.93.  Hidden Ransom closed well for second as Umpateedle ran evenly for third.  Hostility is a four-year-old dark bay brown filly owned by Holiday Racing LLC, trained by Jose A. Gallegos and was ridden by Luis Chavez.

Nooligan led the field through the opening three-quarters of a mile in 1:13.64 as Lipan and Shining Hawk tracked the leader intently in second and third.  In the stretch Icy Atlantic, who was strung five wide entering the stretch, dug in passing the leaders and dueled clear leaving the furlong pole holding well with steady handling by Chuck C. Lopez to win The Jersey Derby by a length and a quarter in a final time of 1:44.51. Commendation finished well for second as Grand Heritage also finished well getting the show spot.  Icy Atlantic is a three-year-old bay colt owned by Arthur I. Appleton, trained by Todd A. Pletcher and was ridden by Chuck C. Lopez.

Tricky Storm led the field through the opening half-mile getting the quarter in a sharp 21.28 and the half-mile in and equally blistering 44.04 with a half length lead over Governor's Pride and Manofglory in deep stretch. Inside the seventy yard marker Tricky Storm leveled out and gave way to an oncoming wave of closers including Rudirudy who closed on the extreme outside getting up nearing the wire and drawing off to win the Wolf Hill Stakes in a final time of 56.04, one and one-quarter lengths in front of Manofglory who finished well for second. It was another head back to Blakelock in third. Rudirudy is a nine-year-old bay gelding owned and trained by Gaston D. Sandoval and was ridden by Luis Rivera, Jr.

Primary Colors led the field through an opening quarter mile in 21.87 a head length in front of Niblick and Whoop's Ah Daisy. Through the far turn Primary Colors continued on the lead getting the half mile in 45.00 maintaining his head length lead over Whoop's Ah Daisy who was now moving close to the leader as Uphill Skier moved into third place. In the stretch Whoop's Ah Daisy took the lead from a weakening Primary Colors and drew off to win The Open Mind Handicap by four widening lengths at the wire in a final time of 1:09.99. Eastern Gale finished between foes earning the place spot a nose in front of early pacesetter Primary Colors who had to settle for third. Whoop's Ah Daisy is a five-year-old bay mare owned by Gerald F. Sleeter, trained by Kevin G. Sleeter and was ridden by Felix Ortiz.

Forest Music went to the front after the start and opened up a length and a half on the field including second place runner Schedule getting the quarter in 21.89 and a half-mile in 44.50 en route to a gate to wire win in The Crank It Up Stakes in a final time of 56.90. Schedule gave a solid account running a good second while Forty Moves gained ground through the stretch to earn the show spot. Forest Music is a three-year-old gray/roan filly owned by Michael J. Gill, trained by Mark Shuman and was ridden by Stewart Elliott.
