Uncle
Otto bobbled at the break while Line Change was bumped. Malibu Glow
stumbled leaving the gate. Rush Now would clear the field from the
seven hole and take the lead into the first turn and then down the
backside carrying a two and one-half length advantage over Iscar and
Uncle Otto. In the far turn Rush Now continued on the lead as jockey
Joe Bravo sat motionless as the horse was doing it well in hand
before being asked slightly in the lane, then opening up in deep
stretch to win The 2011 Spend A Buck Stakes by four and a quarter
lengths in a final time of 1:40.67. Uncle Otto was second best while
Malibu Glow recovered from stumbling at the start for third. Rush Now
is a three-year-old bay colt owned by David Cottle and Smart Angle LLP,
trained by Anthony Dutrow and was ridden by Joe Bravo.
