Finish Wire:

Feel That Fire stumbled at the start but recovered to scrimmage for the lead with Landing My Way down the backside.  Jehan tracked the leaders another head back in third.  Landing My Way ran the opening quarter in 22.37 as the field entered the far turn.  In the turn Jehan would move inside and take the lead as Landing My Way was still running on in second.  Bronx City Girl also moving near the rail was now third.  Jehan ran the half mile in 45.46 and carried a half length lead into the stretch.  In the lane Jehan continued on the lead and maintained a length and a half advantage to the wire winning The 2011 Red Cross Stakes in a final time of 1:10.87.  Bronx City Girl was second while D’Wild Ride closed for third.  Jehan is a five-year-old dark bay/brown mare owned by Farnsworth Stables LLC, trained by Martin D. Wolfson and was ridden by Joe Bravo.
