Finish Wire:

After the break Love That Dance cleared the field from the four hole and led the field through the opening quarter mile of 21.93 pressed by Ever Always with Karmageddon in third.  Love That Dance would widen the lead  to two lengths in the far turn as Ever Always was being fully extended but not making up any ground while Little Stitch was three wide in third as the field entered the lane.  Love That Dance continued on in the lane maintaining a length and a half advantage with Karmageddon still running well in second while Little Stitch was starting to tire in third.  At the wire Love That Dance finished the six furlong distance in 1:09.74 winning The 2011 Open Mind Handicap by three and one-half lengths.  Karmageddon was second while Lil Kiara closed for third.  Love That Dance is a five-year-old chestnut mare owned by John Petrini, trained by Ben W. Perkins, Jr., and was ridden by Pablo Fragoso.
