After a good start CC’s Pal went to the lead and would try to take advantage of the tracks speed bias as she led Successful Song and Acronym through the opening three quarters in 1:12.09.  In the far turn CC’s Pal saw her lead diminish to a half length as Successful Song would challenge the front runner into the lane.  In deep stretch Successful Song put a head in front but hung late allowing CC’s Pal to battle back on the inside getting up at the wire to win The 2011 Monmouth Beach Stakes by a nose over the fast closing Sweet N Sour Nina and Successful Song in a three horse photo.  CC’s Pal is a four-year-old bay filly owned by Eric Fein, trained by Derek Ryan and was ridden by Kendrick Carmouche.
