Dabnabit went to the front after the break and was pressed through a half-mile of 44.90 by Unwritten as the two entered the lane.  In the lane a group of horses ranged up on the outside including Joey P., Hop Skip And Away, Hobbitontherocks and Quepos.  In deep stretch Dabnabit continued driving to the wire and went on to win The 2011 John J. Reilly Handicap by a length and three-quarters in a final time of 1:11.25.  Gunfighter was second and Hop Skip And Away was third.  Dabnabit is a six-year-old dark bay/brown horse owned by G.J. Stable, trained by Luis Carvajal, Jr., and was ridden by Pablo Fragoso.
