Finish Wire:

Zero Rate Policy led Flashpoint down the backside getting the opening quarter mile in a sharp 21.79 with Chipshot running in third.  In the far turn Flashpoint would put a head in front with Chipshot now in second while Zero Rate Policy was starting to tire.  Flashpoint got the half mile in 44.46 and carried a head length advantage into the lane.  In the lane Flashpoint drew away going on to win The 2011 Jersey Shore Stakes by seven lengths posting a final time of 1:08.73.  C J Russell rallied for place while Chipshot ran third.  Flashpoint is a three-year-old gray/roan colt owned by Peachtree Stable, trained by Wesley A. Ward and was ridden by Cornelio Velasquez.
