Finish Wire:

Moonhanger led the field through the opening three-quarters in 1:12.20 as J Isle and Breathless Storm were a head back in second and third as the field moved through the far turn.  In the lane Breathless Storm moved to the lead and kicked clear to win The 2011 Jersey Derby by a length and three-quarters in a final time of 1:41.06.  Beachcombing rallied three wide and was second best while it was another two and three-quarters lengths back to Moonhanger who held on for third.  Breathless Storm is a three-year-old chestnut colt owned by Mrs. Fitriani Hay, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and was ridden by Paco Lopez.
