After a good start Fist
Of Fleet ran the opening quarter in 22.23 while Mikeslittlegirl and
D'wild Ride stalked the leader in second and third. Through the far
turn Mikeslittlegirl took the lead from Fist Of Fleet as the previous
leader now trialed by a head with another length and a half back to
D'wild Ride who was making a bid three wide as the field entered the
lane. Mikeslittlegirl ran the half-mile in 45.19 but in the stretch
D'wild Ride made the front and dug in gamely to hold off and late
closing Sumptuous, who ran fourth most of the way, but mangaed to get
up for second as Mikeslittlegirl was third. D'wild Ride is a
three-year-old dark bay/brown filly owned by Silly Goose Racing
Stable, trained by Joseph Orseno and was ridden by Joe Bravo.
