They opened the gates and the race was over as Joey P. went to his customary position on the front and blazed and opening half-mile in 44.28 as Hey Chub could only get two lengths close to the leader as the field made its way into the stretch.  In the lane Joey P. was all business stretching the lead to three lengths and winning the John J. Reilly Handicap in a final time of 1:09.06.  Who's The Cowboy displayed his usual late kick but was too far back gaining second while Hey Chub managed third.  Joey P. is a six-year-old dark bay/brown gelding owned by John Petrini, trained by Benjamin Perkins, Jr., and was ridden by Joe Bravo.
