Six Furlongs - Main Track

Saturday, May 10, 2008  Race 9

Main Track: Muddy    Turf: No Turf Racing

Finish Wire:

After a good start Ravalo went to the lead and reeled off snappy fractions of 21.75 and 43.94 for the opening half-mile while keeping Joey P. a length back in second position.  Praying For Cash was vying for room inside running in third position as the field made its way into the stretch.  In the lane Ravalo kept on the pace as Joey P. cut into the lead all the to the finish but at the wire Ravalo had enough left to hold on for the victory by a neck in a final time of 1:08.25.  Joey P. was game for second while Maddy’s Lion finished well on the outside to get up over Praying For Cash for third.  Ravalo is a four-year-old bay gelding owned by Lindy M. Redding, trained by Donald Barr and was ridden by Michael Luzzi.
