Sea Chanter rated in fifth behind Joffes's Run and Bsharpsonata through the first seven furlongs and then took over mid-stretch and held off a late run by Annie Skates late to win The Epitome Breeders' Cup Stakes over a yielding course in a final time of 1:39.1. Sea Chanter is a two-year-old bay filly owned by Stonerside Stable, trained by Todd A. Pletcher and was ridden by John Velazquez.
