Avery Hall once again was in front by a head at the half-mile call over Irish Sovereign getting the half-mile in 45.65.  Passaic moved into third as Key To Love was now in fourth.  In the lane Avery Hall drew clear passing the eighth pole and drew off to win The Open Mind Handicap by five lengths at the wire in a final time of 1:11.33.  Cigno D’Oro closed well to get up for second a nose in front of Smart N Classy, who after breaking tardy, settled for third.  Avery Hall is a three-year-old gray/roan filly owned by Timber Creek Farms, trained by Cynthia G.
