After the break
Diamond Wildcat scrimmaged with Magoo’s Magic through a torrid opening
quarter in 21.76 and an equally swift half-mile in 44.58 while Celtic
Innis was sitting just of those two in third position. Entering the
stretch Celtic Innis ranged up three wide and passed the leaders and
then drew off through the lane for the victory in The Coronado’s Quest
Stakes in a final time of 1:09.63. Miracle Man finished well for
second, as Diamond Isle was third. Celtic Innis is a three-year-old
dark bay/brown gelding owned by
E. Allen Murray, Jr.,
trained by
Timothy L. Keefe
and was ridden by Thomas Turner. |
